Sorry for the long post. So i have a gsr motor in my integra. The guy before me put a skunk 2 pro series intake manifold on it but he reused the integra throttle body. The problem is that the throttle cable on a gsr is mounted straigt to the throttle body and when i shut my hood it pinches the cable down. What would i need to do to have the throttle cable come across the intake manifold normally? would i have to get a new throttle cable if i got a new throttle body from an ls? Thanks

 

O.k i know exactly whats going on, the reason its rubing the hood is cause the stock gsr intake manifold sits lower in the bay so the cable clears with the stock manifold on but since you got the sk2 maifold it raises it way up! your options are to find a itr or b16 throtle body cable wheal and swap it on the gsr throtle body and use a itr throtle cable you will still need the itr throtle cable bracket its real cheap at the dealer i got one for i think $20 it mounts on top of the sk2 manifold, or to make it more simpler use a b16/itr throtle body and cable i dont know if you can use a ls tb you might but im not sure on the vtec motors still will need a itr/b16 throtle cable and bracket though. i have a b16/itr throtle body with a brand new thermal gasket for it!! ill ship for $45! lol the new gasket is $35! and a itr tb will run you at least $80 so lmk ill help you out cause im cool like that.
