I need to Pass My Emission Please Help
Hi Guys
So i need to pass my emissions and my O2 sensor went out on me, But I am running low on the cash to replace it with a new one. So I need to know what is the best way to ghost My O2 sensor just so that I could pass my emission and not be driving around with expired tags please help cause i really cannot afford another ticket right at this moment with chritmas right around the conner. I heard this was very possibe.

You can't fudge an oxygen sensor on a K-series.
Priorities: Fixing your car to keep it legal on the road is more important than Christmas, because you can't drive Christmas to work. If you can afford an EP3 or DC5, you can afford an oxygen sensor. They're not that expensive, and probably cheaper than a ticket.
Assuming a K20A3 with manual trans, a Denso replacement primary sensor is $184 from Rock Auto (Denso part number 234-9004), and a secondary is $32 (Denso number 234-4122).
You know, some information would help because my crystal ball isn't working too well these days. What DTC is your scanner showing and what car do you have?

What year was the car? If it's a pre OBD-II car, then that would actually make sense but if it's an OBD-II car, then it sounds like the tech got lazy and didn't hook up to the computer to check to see if there were any CELs...
