"isabelle" ready for a wash and a buff
just had 1 questions if you guys don't know i got lucky and did a garage paint job and to my suprise it came out better than when i painted my sti at a good paint shop, but moving on i painted isabelle(dc2) 2 weeks ago and i know i gotta wait a couple of weeks to wash or buff the car because you have to let the paint and clear set in, can i wash and buff it now.
I usually wash it 72 hours after spraying it. It just depends on what products you used. If you want to wait to wash then you should. When in doubt, chicken out. It won't hurt it to wait a little longer before buffing. Just don't wait a long time lol.
The cut and buff process all depends on the products that you use. There are some clears out there that can be baked onto the car and sanded and buffed in 24 hours. Others, you can wait 48 hours at 70 degrees or something like that and then you're good to go. Check the manufacturers spec sheets.
