Default Syncro issure? or motor mount? HELP

so the trans is a 96 ITR with a 4.7FD. Feels mushy when going right to left in neutral. while driving, shifts are fine, no grinds or anything. but while driving, in 3rd or 5th, while leaving it in the gear accelerating and then letting off, it will pop out of gear. Broken motor mount the culprit? or syncros? Please help!

Are the mounts broken or bushings worn?

If not then the 3/4 and 5/R sleeve sets need to be replaced.

Could be number of things which you've already stated. And you're the only one that can see if you have a broken/torn mount or torn/weak shifter bushings. Not us over the internet, so go out and take a look.

Chances are that they are okay and you just have damage to the synchro sets inside for the gears to fall out like that.

It's common for 5th to fall out of gear while driving if it's low on fluid as well. Make sure you have 2 quarts in the thing.
