theres a trick to it.. as well as a proper sequence in which to weld the runners to the collector..

Manifold looks great. Dwight does quality work no doubt. I was aways impressed with his work back in the day at SpeedCraft. 600 HP from that manifold is sick, I am very jealous.

It looks good, i like that your weld profiles are even and nothing really sticks out as being overly large or small.

I think some more companies should take a look at this and realize that huge flange/wg welds look silly next to tiny runner welds.

Mase, did you leave Stage6/are you doing your own thing now?

Nice manifold.

Throw a K20 exhaust flange on there.

yes i have seen cracks on the flanges and around wastegate runners more than anything else..

so the wastegate gets a nice root pass, then a heavy/hot cover.

as for mase, yes he is doin his own thing now..

Why no back purging?

I'd be interested in hearing how it holds up. There's a big difference in length between the #1 and #4 runner and stainless expands at a rate 50% greater than mild steel.

the whole thing is backpurged...

and as for longevity, the oldest one on a car right now is 1 and a half years old... so far so good.

Waste gate flange wasn't. The color is off on the back side plus there's a bunch of sugar on the inside.

thats not "sugar"

thats a tack from the inside.. and i find it annoying and unnecessary to back purge that particular joint.

i weld the wg flange on the bend before welding it to the manifold... and if you can imagine trying to rig up a backpurge to that, you can see my point..

Then don't state, "the whole thing is backpurged..." if it isn't.

lol

for me to say the wg runner is backpurged but not the flange, seemed unnecessary.. so everything but the wg flange are backpurged.. how's that..

Really? You need to revise your purging methods than.
