Default Help on trying to identify a transmission???

In the process of doing a B20 Vtec swap and came across this in the local classifieds:
"b16 cable tranny with spoon LSD and new syncros no grind guaranteed 700"
Now I'm not even going to begin to say I'm a master mechanic but also do know when things sound too good to be true they usually are. What I would hope to receive from you guys is what to look for so I don't buy into a big clusterf*ck. I know what a b16 tranny looks like but as far as an LSD are there any tell tale signs without pulling it apart?? I'm sure a Spoon lsd isn't cheap either,is there anyway to know if indeed it is an actual "Spoon" product? Any help would be appreciated-Thanks.

I have pictures the guy sent me in a thread I posted in the Transmission and Drivetrain section but haven't got anything yet. Thanks for any help and if you don't know do you know of any other forums where I might post and/or get some info.

Heres the thread so I don't have to re-upload the pics:
