DIY Hardtop HW kit
Like many people with s2000's, I've been looking around everywhere for a hardtop and hardware kit for a good price. And just by looking at these kit's It seems possible to make your own and save a couple hundred. The only thing i would need is the dimensions of the brackets and i would be set. From what i've seen this is what a kit includes
What is included:
-2 Piece Driver/Passenger Brackets constructed of steel Gloss Black (4 Pieces)
-Rear Hardtop Window standard Plexiglass (1 Piece)
-Rear Window Seal (1 Piece)
-10mmx20mm Hex Bolt (8 Pieces)
-13mmx20mm Hex Bolt (4 Pieces)
-13mmx25mm Hex Bolt (2 Pieces)
-Driver/Passenger Window Seal (2 Pieces)
-Lower Hardtop Seal (1 Piece)
-Trunk Spacer (4 Pieces)
Im sure i could get the Hex Bolts from the store along with the window seal. That right there eliminates half the kit. From what i see the only thing i would need to buy that i couldn't somehow make myself is the window, but that sometimes comes with the hardtop. This idea might sound funny but i think its possible.
