I'd Say we are all lucky, HONDA created small -fwd- cars that were EXTREMELY REWARDING AND FUN to drive, overachievers many times, we are ALL LUCKY Honda made the S2000 and the NSX, that has SENNA written all over it, that been said, we are doomed Honda is not the same, yet, still we can ALL enjoy still the old Honda philosophy from the GENIUS Soichiro Honda (RIP)... here are some quotes form the man himself:

Not lucky, just hard working and share a love for the Honda family brand

Always wanted an NSX but timing was never right, waited 15 years to buy my 04 GPW, a bit of luck in finding the car with only 8000 miles on it though.

^i dont understand your post... please explain

are you trying to refer to the nsx people that anybody can lease a nsx???

sure, you can lease one when they were new, at a good 90-100k each, which is still a pretty monthly payment that not everybody can afford

then theres those of use who need to buy one used, usually cash, from a private seller. you dont see much at a dealer now a days.....

I drove a Lamborghini Galardo this weekend and wow what an amazing amount of torque. The paddle shifter took some time to get used to. I was impressed with the fit and finish of the car.

One thing I wish the NSX had more of is some torque.

True this. With my stroker engine, I don't what I would do w/ more torque (I have as much torque at idle now as I did at peak before). 1st gear at full throttle is useless and 2nd gear isn't much better though the car will get traction around 5k rpm.

The lack of torque in the 3.0 and 3.2 engines is, what I call, Honda's advanced form of traction control.

how do you like the all motor set up? How much power do you have? + basic build info (comprsesion/bore) ITB?

I am still debating what I should do all motor/turbo...

Love it. 3.6L stroker produces 335rwhp/270rwlbs torque. Basic build info can be found here. Specific car info here. ITBs definitely in the future.

I would have to disagree. I think NSX owners are lucky and hard working. Why can't they have both (luck and hard working ethics)? Lucky enough to own their dream car, and hard working enough to be able to afford one.

First of all, I never said they couldn't have both. You put those words in my mouth. My claim was that it was more about hard work than luck. I doubt most NSX owners were just living their life, unable to afford one, and suddenly they just got lucky and stumbled upon one for $10k, or were given one, or whatever. They worked hard at their jobs or wherever they get money, and then bought the car. A certain amount of luck is probably involved, or else they would be living in the gutter or something.

Second, "lucky enough to own their dream car". What does that mean?? NSX's aren't rare--maybe certain color/option packages, but not the car in general. Anyone can buy one if they have the money. You would be lucky to own a 97 ITR, or a Camaro ZL-1, or a BMW 2002 Turbo, or something extremely rare, but not a car that I can find several of on Craigslist with one search, like an NSX.

After watching some awesome Japanese club vtec videos yesterday of an all motor ITB NSX running makes me want to go all motor. The sound is pretty crazzy. But I will try out turbo first. Worst case scenario. I'll switch up the setup.

Nope, stock 10.2:1 compression. I wanted to be able to run normal gas and not have any issues. I'd bet I could have gotten another 20-30rwhp with race gas.

yeah you could have pulled another 20-30 with up compression and race gas. I think that and ITB with your 3.6 you would be nearing 400whp... that would be insane.

1997 ITR - 400+ imported into the U.S.
1997 NSX - 338 imported into the U.S.

Total NSX production (worldwide) - just over 18K
Total ITR production (worldwide) - 29K +

The 18k total NSX production is over a fifteen year period. While the 29k ITR total production was over a six year period I believe. The ITR's are rarer in the U.S.; as the U.S. was the largest single market for the NSX.

So how many of the 29k ITRs were exported to the US?
