is it a waste of money to get this coil?
I have a Taiwan made coil right now.

will I get benefits in getting the internal accel coil on my B16?

 

i have it in both my b16's. smooth idle and both seem more responsive.

 

is that the one that fits into the stock distributor? what is that thing worth? how long have you had it for?

are these coils stronger then stock coils? i blew 2 stock coils in 3 months this summer not trying to go through that again next year.

 

well i think they produce more spark energy than the stock coils if that's what you mean by stronger....are they more reliable is the question?

my original coil from 95 is still working........i don't know why you keep going through ignition coils...

 

so if it is a slight improvement then it is a good idea to improve ignition

I will give a try, I am sure it will be better than my Ebay taiwan actual coil

 

mine have been in for over a year. i think output is 38000 volts? summit has there own brand coil for our cars that puts out 45000 volts. most of the summit ign products are mallory though.

 

i just check....summit only had a OE replacment coil for double the cost of the accel coil....haha....might as well just get the accel coil....

 

im sure they make pick up 1-2hp with better spark, and a decent set of plugs, cant ever go wrong with good spark,
