Roll Cage help
I bought a shell not knowing it had a cage on it before because it had the plates on the floor but it was a show off cage. I was taking the plates off and i noticed the floor is rusted. I wanted to know if this shell is still able to put a cage in it. I only took off 4 of the 6 plates because of the rust i saw. can anybody give me any inputs if this car can get a cage in it. The issue right now is that i really dont want to tow it to the shop to get a cage put in and then have him tell me its not doable or that the price is going to be way too much and it will be cheaper to get another shell and put cage because then i will waste a lot of money towing it there and back home. Chances are i probably will have to bring it to the shop to get the guys input but i wanted to see if any of you guys have any past experience with something similar to this

To be honest for a NY car it doesn't look too bad. If the guy knows what he is doing he can make it pretty strong by running a bigger plate and running plates up the sides.
What car is it?
it looks like the rear bars were way in the back behind the shock towers? no one runs them over there anyway,

I think the guy had one of those cages that were just for show but i have no idea.
It looks like more damage was done removing the plates than anything else. But like mentioned, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure who ever does the cage is aware of the problem and takes the correct measures to fix it. It can easily be fixed. Worst case, you will need to redo parts of the floors.
