im about to rebuild my motor and jrsc and im thinking about going with a itr trans! my current trans. is a gsr tranny with qauife lsd, m-factory 3.070 first gear, m-factory 4.9 fd, i love the combo it accelerates fast but im wondering can anybody tell me what noticable diffrences i will see and what will my top speed be on the itr trans? i think my gsr trans tops of at 170 which i like only thing is 5th gear grinds if i dont double clutch. would my top speed be 140mph ? and also has anyone went from a gsr trans either with a 4.9 fd or stock to a itr trans w/4.4 fd on a jrsc'd motor? and what did you like and dislike?

This really depends upon what you're using the car for. I mean, both combinations work well, the 4.9 final drive is of course a good torque multiplier for most systems, but its hard to tell what is the "better" combination, because honestly, its rather subjective. YOu may need to reference back to the original transmission chart and do some calculations, as changing a lot of gears at random will definately cause some different results.

I myself have used a GS-R transmission w/ Clutch-type (CUSCO) LSD 4.785 final drive and LS 5th, but that is because it is a circuit / street car. If I were all circuit, I would have changed to 4.9FD w/ a GS-R trans and left it at that. But again, its about purpose AND preference.
