can you buy a brand new block from honda?

can you buy a brand new block from honda? I was trying to find a b20 block and wondered if one could buy a one new from honda?

i went to my local honda dealership and the guy told me that for a new block and head assembly(sold separately) would cost $4500 for a B16.

I was going to say that you could, but I'd hate to see the bill for that sh*t! A used B20 longblock from a junkyard around here varies between 800-1000 bucks... I'd hate to buy just the block from honda!

Looks like HondaPartsNow charges $2287.31 (11000-P3F-810 / 11000-P3F-010) for a new USDM '97-'00 CR-V block.
