01 prelude sh new ecu

01 prelude sh new ecu

I had to replace the ecu in my 01 prelude sh. Do i need to get my key coded to match the ecu? Does it have to be done at a dealership? Do they need the whole car or just the ecu and my keys?thanks

i think it needs to be done at the dealer

You do need to have it done by a dealer. Then make sure you never loose the last key. I had a new ignition tumbler and the ecu flashed with two keys. It cost me $1300 here in Chicago.
