Default JRSC with 11.5:1?

How safe is running a JRSC with 11.5ish:1 CR? i assume i'll need injectors, and a fuel pump, but other than that, should it be ok?

Water injection? Some way, I would think, to cool the charge since the upped compression is going to burn hot alone. Compressing the air before the chamber will increase it even more, will it not? Anyone else?

It can be done but needs tuning.....accually high compression boosted motors will put out better numbers cause the compression is just adding power right there....you will need bigger injectors and a good fuel system tuner....definatly water injection.....this may sound stupid but fuel in the cyclinders accually diapates heat until it is fired....

PS...I see you are in VA so you don't have to worry about really cold air outside so I would definatly look into a oil cooler of some kind

well it says his ITR is sold so it doesn't have to be JDM pistons....with a B20/with B16A head 10.5:1 pistons are really 11.5:1 cause the head on that block raises compression

ouch, 11:5:1 compression and JRSC.....thats pushing it.

it can be done with good tuning and better fuel delivery. i just bought myself a inline-pro 3mm headgasket, which lowers the compression a full point. thought about getting one?? well damn, my R is still running stock 10:6:1 compression so it wont be too bad when i use gasket and a small greddy turbo.

it can be done needs tuning like everybody already said.... a guy i know had one on a stock comp SI and was having detonation problems... He was a dumb *** anyway so who know's it could have been just him thinking it was detonating.

I dont know this 3mm head gasket doesnt sound too good to me. I mean the head gasket is usually the weakist link anyway and now your putting a thicker section of it in their. to me it seams like now your just adding a larger section of weakness. Am i wrong about this?

i thought lower compression worked good for superchargers and turbos? I dont think 11.5:1 would be a good idea.. maybe a gsrs 10:1 would be good.

I love all the people who tell you that it can be done. Notice they don't have one and they don't have a clue on how to build or tune one. LOL....

HAHAHAHAH.....ok that comment right there proves you dont know as much as you think....now, lets see...boost creates heat, even with low compression there is LOTS of heat with a boosted motor...now take a Supercharged car with pretty high compression and no intercooler and see how long it lasts in 95 degree high humidity air.. "Just get the fuel right, thats about it"
