do u hve to have both airbags hooked up for the passenger side to work?

im puttin an aftermarket steering wheel in.

 

why?

it will no longer be legal for you to drive the car on public roads due to tampering with the safety system (SRS)

If you unhook one of your ABS wheel speed sensors, will ABS still work, no it wont.

same theory. airbag system has detected a fault, meaning this "absence" of the drivers side airbag, so it now will turn off the whole system and send a SRS light until the fault is corrected.

now if you searched, you would see there is a writeup on how to bypass that light for an aftermarket system and make the system think it is still there. MuffinMan wrote it up.
