i've got a 94 accord EX, i was wondering how much psi would a stock F22B1\F22B2 motor hold, and still be able to drive daily or at least often?
general rule of 5-10psi is what im assuming? or can they hold more then that? i've seen some pretty crazy accords pushing 500whp out of these 2.2L SOHC

Not necessary noob, how about not to disturb the peeps in Bisimoto but instead, make Boot92 do some research. Many 'guys' in here have plenty of handful of written knowledge.
Depends on how well you have taken care of your car until this point. Are there leaks now before boosting? Did you ride it hard? What sort of supporting mods do you have? All these things go into play when trying to figure out how much abuse the stock internals will take.
I would stay at 5-8 and even then you could be looking at some serious problems if not done right.
10 and your going to burn up valve seals or piston rings if you have abused the car or not address supporting mods to help it alleviate things like heat etc... Your tune will play the biggest part in all this.

the f22 has iron sleeves stock, so it can easily hold boost. there has been cars with over 200,000 miles and hitting well over 10 lbs. i remember one guy was at 22 lbs. and all they had was a good tune. 5-8 lbs is nothing for our engine to handle. and the low compression of our engine doesnt hurt at all, its a great bonus!

Car has 120k, miles, and its as good as condition as the day it came out of the factory, zero rust, zero sludge, or dirt built of anywhere, changed the oil after putting 3k miles on it since i got it. oil still was somewhat clear.
what about sticking a b1 Head on a b2 block? is it a direct bolt up?

i know there's a difference between f and b series, but for b series, its all in the tune. i can't think an f series would be any different. i've seen bone stock ls' with 18-22 psi already, running 11's. as long as the car is tuned correctly, i'm sure a stock f22 would handle more than 5-10 psi. there's guys on here pushing quite a bit more than that.
We've covered it many times but for someone who has never tuned or boosted his car before I think it more prudent to keep them on the side of caution. Telling someone that we remember one guy who handled 22 lbs is just inviting a turbo rookie to get themselves into trouble. Let them discover the limits as they learn the ins and outs of turbocharging vehicles. Just help them avoid the pitfalls on their way.
you are right, you dont want someone over boosting.
just throwing the knowledge out there that the f22b is very strong internally and has great potential....but is all about the tune. If there is one thing I would not take shortcuts on with a turbo setup(not that I would take shortcuts at all), it would be the tune. I would spend as much money as necessary for the tune. protect the investment.
well I maybe young, but I'm no noob to boosting cars, I've owned 2 of them that I've boosted my self now. a DSM 1.8L running 6 PSI, Bored .020 over, Wisco Pistons, Stock Rods ARP Head Studs., and a BMW 325I running 11 PSI, Stock internals, and ARP Head Studs.
wouldn't be afraid to drive either of them daily. I drove the DSM everyday, and the 1.8L never lasts on a turbo unless done completely right.
