What Clutch should i run?
I have a 92 DA with stock B18A1, log manifold, T3/TO4E turbo, RC440's, 2 1/2in exhaust all the way through. Need a clutch before I get it dyno tuned, what clutch would you guys recomend without breaking the bank. I'm shooting for about 275 to 300hp, think my set up will come close? running Crome , stock map, think 10-11psi will make my goal? if not what map sensor would be the best to use to up the boost?
your going to go bigger eventually.. so buy one and get it over with. you can either go with a ACT extreme with a 6 or 4 puck sprung.. or for a cheaper price you can buy a competition stage 5 clutch. with a 4 or 6 puck sprung... i'm at 460 and still not slipping. should be good till about 550hp.
www.go-autoworks.com sells the comp clutch for$315.. although for more money you can get the heavier pressure plate but you wont need that.. its around 100dollars more but for what you are going for you will be fine.
the act HD 6 puck is rated for 320trq and its not to agressive for a daily ive also had really good luck with the exedy stage 2 (thick disk on a 423whp set up) 1.5 years and no sliping yet
