Rhino lining my ej1?
mmmm just curious as to why would you wanna do flatbeadliner, as opposed too a shiny jdm look?
dont know if i would like the whole bumpy feeling, i like the shiny gloss instead but thats just my opinion, everyone has one

If its only glossy paint then what is the purpose of doing it? O save 14lbs that the carpet weighs?
Do rhino its sound deadening and keeps the car cooler
Thats if youre set on stripping the carpet. Otherwise keep the carpet itll get old quick unlews its your racecar

rhinoline comes in different colors, it's a good idea but i'd stick with something else, just simple paint or carpet.. i just painted black racing stripes with rhino liner on a red f-150 and it ended up looking pretty badass. but for the interior of a civic? i wouldn't
I'm considering doing a roll on bed liner in the back of my hatch, but I always haul a bunch of stuff I shouldn't and I think it would be better than chipping and scraping up paint. That's part of the reason for getting a hatch, besides that they look sexy.
I bought the rustoleum spay in liner (undercoating) looks pretty good. I did this because my car didnt come with carpet and painted the back half with gloss black paint.
i think the rhino **** is a good idea as long as it serves a purpose. i have a hatch with my back seats removed because my job sometimes has me hailing convential ovens to certain events and my paint is now F**ked and scratched all to hell. i lay down mats and **** but it stilll gets f''ed sometimes. but i assume your just doing this rhino stuff for fun so no in your case i would think its stupid.
dont use the advanced auto spray in bed liner in the gray can, it comes out real brown looking
iv done 10+ peoples trunks with this stuff

and it all has came out nice and i even did my friends engine bay with it

I did it cause i didnt feel like buying carpet. Also i have no back seats just a cage a 2 recaros. IMO if you have carpet i would leave it. It was a pain to get the sound dampening out even with dry ice. Also the rubber gromments were all destroyed on my pedals and was always slippery when my shoes were wet and sprayed those to. Also i cleared it too cause when i ran a vacuum on it made white streaks all on it but dosent now
Did the dupilcolor spray in a buddy's hatch/trackcar. The spray in liner was used instead of floormats. Just make sure you scuff the floor with some scotchbrite or 600 grit.
I say go for it, It has come across my mind before and I got some friends with jeeps that have it and and Rhinolining and Herculiner are pretty popular for wrangler or even cherokee interiors, Just did our plow trucks bed the other week with Herculiner and turned out nice, and not really rubbery like other products. We used Duplicolor spray to fill in a few areas that needed touching up and that stuff was nice too. Only thing you gotta to realize with your car is that besides covering it up with carpet and not saying anything, it is most likely a pretty permant modification to your car's interior lol.
i was thinking the same when i did it, but then a bought the cans and held them. it only took 4 cans each weighing just over 1.5 pounds, times 4 thats 6 pounds. worth it in my eyes. helps keep carpet from slipping as well.
sry dudes i kinda ignored this post! but its something differnt. plus my carpet smells like sh*t right now. Im DEF gunna do this to the WHOLE floor and trunk area on my ej1 project...i wonder if it would look weird with the PW: JDM floor plates hmm...
