Default Lack of common sense; RIP 2000 Type R (DB8)

Unfortunately, the below pictures will illustrate what happens when stupidity gets the best of you.... The driver and front seat occupant were quite lucky but the passenger taht was in the back is still in critical condition...
Don't make this happen to you... Exercise caution on the streets using these machines....
Awww.. R.I.P 'lovely 4-door'

Everyone is hoping the injured passenger pull out okay... Its miracle by itself that he's still alive by...
Well, the owner/driver is 18 and his mom just bought him the car for his birthday little over a week ago... I wish i had a mom like that... lol....
Anyways, if you observed the rear half of the car, you'll notice that he has on his spare 'donut' wheel... The street was wet after heavy passing showers with combination of that spare tire and excessive speed... He lost control after passing a line of cars and was heading towards the in coming traffic...He then hit the on coming vehicle, spun then hit the light pole which cut the car almost perfectly in half as if someone was selling a jdm front clip....

Its ashame and sad cause someone innocent is hospitalized... The previous owner never harassed this car... It was always washed and polished... We've lost some pretty good Type Rs in Antigua... Its ashame another had to go again this year...

That's crazy! Hope that kid pulls through, we have accidents like this here in NZ around my region a lot. It's so sad!

I guess this is a lesson for people never to exceed the space saver recomended speed. Even more vital to adhere to in the wet.

Well, I do know the passenger... Its so weird how life is... We were hanging out the night before at party and then this the night after...
As for the driver i don't know him, but i spoke to him after and he's pretty terrified... He cant sleep, nor eat... Its just an unfortunate event... It pays to be calm and collected when driving and NOT be like overcome by certain urges when on the streets...

Speeding on spare tire in the rain is careless and stupid. Kid was only 18. I can think of a million things that I did at that age that were careless and stupid. Hell, I did careless and stupid things in my first ITR when I was 25. I'm 33 now and obsessive compulsive about not taking risks these days. I started getting that way when I was maybe 27 or 28 and the testosterone was turned down a notch. Anyway, this is a reminder to not be stupid and take dumb risks. Hopefully we can all learn something from it. Classic case of Darwinism here at it's finest.

Looks like a very good example of immaturity, sometimes a car like that is too much for an 18 year old to handle. I'm sure the mother's intentions were only good in buying the car for him too :-/. My condolences to the family.

Damn.

I'll be in Antigua on New Year's Day in my layover to Dominica (for school). It's too bad I won't be spending much time there.

I doubt it, but I wonder if there are any R's in Dominica.

damn, I don't even drive fast when I'm rolling on "normal" tires like a Kumho AST or something. Driving fast with a donut, on wet ground, is idiotic. I learned my lesson the hard way a few years back. This driver gets no sympathy from me

Damn you guys are ruthless. He's just a dumb 18 year old kid. I deffinitly have to say that he should be held 100% responsibility for this, loose his license for a LONG time, community service, ect. I don't want to see him dead though, he's still a young kid.. now if he was 30 and speed on a donut I could see you wanting to kick him while down..

Excitement & lack of better judgement was too much here... I just turned 21 last month and still have my Honda Civic Type R that i bought at the age of 19... Im not saying that I wasn't excited when I got my car but this was just careless... I've been fortunate enough to get away from spins luckily they happen on clear, open roads, early morning where there were no traffic at all...
Sometimes these cars gets in the wrong hands... Im sure his mother intentions were good; to buy him a car for his 18th birthday but I guess she was fooled by the 4 door (thinking it was slow and couldn't do any damage), not knowing how fast these cars were...
