What would be a good offer for this CRV
2000 White CRV ex ... interiors very clean no rust on the body
Has 147000 miles and the dealer is asking 5,900 on a clean titile
Is this reasonable or what should I negotiate at ?

Just to give you an idea of private v dealer prices.
I purchased my 1997 CRV ex, with 144k, extremely clean interior, well maintained, owner was unaware it needed a new radiator though, for me that was no problem. Also am going to change the front axles, oil pan, tires, and front brakes for increased long gevity.
Mind you I now tow my race car with this crv and it is an auto. Under $4000 in total investment. Change the oil/fluids/spark plugs frequently and you have tank.
If you couldnt tell by my answer from above, $5700 is far too much for the mileage unless it is truely an extremely nice car.
If it wasnt for a POS sales person I would of bought a $4000 5 spd 90000miles CRV.
Good luck, take your time.

Whst would be a good price to start negotiating at? It has had one owner and it books for eight seven on kelly blue book
What condition are the tires in????? If the tires are like new and the interior and exterior is like you said and you really want it. Id say 5k. And stick with it. Don't give in... Walk out if you have too. I wouldn't give them more then 5k.
If the tires are worn but good enough to pass inspection, and if you can find some other flawes (any flaws would work) then I would start at 4K, or you could do 4500.
