Default How to fix broken OE radio button?

I have a 95 Accord. I cannot key in the code to use the radio. One of the buttons that is part of the code has lost its tension/springiness. The other buttons are ok. I got the car in this condition from the previous owner. Not sure what they did to it. The buttons worked up until recently. A few nights ago I was pushing them in to activate the code but it didn't work, and I eventually figured that it was this one button failing. The good buttons feel different, kinda like they have a rubber base or spring under them. The broken button just sits there and has no tension to it, kinda like a floppy feel.

Do the buttons pry off? If yes, guess I'll have to pry off a good one to compare it to. Hope I don't make things worse. Is a removal of the radio necessary? Any info would help. Never had this type of problem before.

I don't think you can pry the buttons off without doing further damage. Going from memory, I think the button portion you push is on the face plate. With the radio removed, I believe you can remove the faceplate, the actual functioning part of the buttons will be on the radio chassis.
