Default Tail light bulb keeps blowing

I have a 93 Civic EX and my lower/outer tail light bulb keeps blowing. I've replaced the bulb twice and it eventually blew both times. I checked the fuse and it's fine. I would greatly appreciate any advice of what to check from here. Thanks.

Note: I don't know if it's related to this, but when I press the brakes my idle drops.

are you using the "honda bulb" (7443 8 watts parking light and 27 watt stop light) the more popular cheap bulb (1157 5&21 watts) has a lower wattage so it can be getting to much power causing the bulb to burn out early.

Most people who repeatedly blow taillamp bulbs have something in the trunk that moves around while driving, which eventually ends up hitting the inside of the lamp, the resulting impact of which breaks the bulb filament...

Thanks for the input everyone.

This is what I was thinking, especially since my idle decreases whenever I press the brakes/turn on the lights, I just wasn't sure if there were any locations you would advise checking specifically.

The bulb that was in it when I bought the car and the bulb I replaced it with last was what Advance Auto Parts recommended for the car which was the Sylvania 2057 which is 6.7 & 27 watts. So it might just be the bulb. The first time I replaced the bulb, only the stop light had went out. I still think I have a ground issue though because of how my idle decreases whenever I press the brakes & turn on the lights (I'm just not sure if it's related to the brake light issue).

I have a roll cage, so the trunk is pretty much stripped with nothing in it.

Sorry for the questions guys.. I'm not very experienced with diagnosing electrical issues.
