What is the best for that horsepower???

 

Wow. Both. You can make 500+hp on a log mani if your boost is high enough. It's really about where you make the power at that point. If you are going for higher rpm's, the ram is the most logical choice.

 

not quite, the top mount will give you your power goal easier.. depending on your setup.. with a top mount your power will come on later and you'll most likely have to rev higher to get the output that a ramhorn wwould give at a lower rpm.. also depends what turbo your mounting on this car. smaller turbos die out quicker so they wont make the power you want at a high rpm.. so basically you could choose either just put together the right setup and you'll be fine..

 

Either will work fine. I make about 500 on a log manifold. Your manifold wont make a huge power difference, just buy good quality. A top mount will give you more room for your down pipe with a large turbo

 

A ram horn vs. a log manifold will make a ton of difference.

As to the original poster, see what your setup looks like. I'd suggest a ram horn, a top mount will take longer to spool up, you can make just as much power on a ram horn then a top mount.

 

x2 on the ramhorn vs the log.. evans did a test with full race and made 50whp more with a ramhorn than a log at same boost level.. ramhorn with a nice size turbo and you'll be on your way to 500hp..

 

Ramhorn. The reason people go with a top mount is for a big turbo and 4" downpipe that are hard to fit with a ramhorn

 

not even. topmount became a bandwagon because honda tech loves bandwagons. you can fit a very large turbo and a 4" DP on a ramhorn just as easily as a top mount. the only reason i would choose a topmount over a ramhorn is if i was running a divided housing turbo.

you most likely are going to need a 44mm wastegate.. with the turbo you are using there is going to be boosted creep. and if you are trying for 500 hp. that wastegate isnt going to hold the pressure you are going to be at... go with a ramhorn manifold.

significant gains with a ramhorn... most likely between 30 and 60 hp easily.. will flow much smoother and nicer..

 

Really?? 40whp?? Man this sucks. Im right in the middle of my new build and I'm not sure I can afford a new manifold before my tune. Ive got 2 weeks. My **** is fully sleeved and I want the best! I can afford a manifold but I'd need a DP and a dump tube...

This manifold will be good? In terms of quality and shape of the manifold.
Because if you look the four tubes are not the same distance. Friends are saying??

Looks good to me. Exactly equal length manifolds are hard to find and expensive. The one question I have is the brand "forged performance" lists nothing for honda's on their website. This guy is selling one for a B18 too. Maybe call the shop
