so i know the 3rd gear pop out is a problem for a lot of people, but is there an easy fix to this? is it a free fix at an acura dealership? i can deal with it but it is getting pretty annoying

 

My friend had this problem in his 03, but it would only happen on occasion. Went to the dealership. Mechanic drove the car, it just didn't happen to pop out, so he said they won't replace it. So if it happens all the time, bring it to the dealer and see if they are willing to, if not, then throw a brick into their window

If it does not pop out that much try changing the fluid, sometimes it will help. Since you car is an 03 it will not be covered by warranty.

 

could i do it myself? or would it be better to have dealership flush the whole system? i know how to just change it but i want to do it right the first time
