What kinda power should im be making?
welp im jw what kinda power i will be making with the set up ive got going on as of now.Its a b7 fresh bottom end and shaved b7 head makes 170 psi of compression on all cyl.Here are my upgrades.Oh and 4 got 2 things not really any hp gains but stronger and safer.
Arp head studs and cometic head gasket.
Z6 intake and tb.
Z6 dizzy.
Aem v2 chambered cold air.
obx 4-2-1 header.
Full 2.25 exhaust no cat or test ran into stock muffler.
a6 regrind thank its a Stage one not here yet in the mail.
And crome chiped p06 basemap,Two step@4500,and rev@7300.
Lmk what kinda whp numbers i could be looking at ik stock is 90whp and later down the road im going with a wet 75 shot.But just na for now...Thanks fellas!

Best way to know is to take it to a dyno and find out. There is no way for anyone to guess with any amount of accuracy as to what your engine will make or not make.
yes i know dyno will tell me exactly but if anybody has done such a build and what kinda power they came up with.Ik it want be exact without dyno time or it tuned but just trying to get a ball park man.
The reality is that most people in this section are more familiar with B-series builds and some K's. A D-series like yours isn't built very often anymore and therefore would be hard to even give you a ballpark estimate. A dyno is really your only option and honestly it's worth a lot more than someones opinion.
yes i get what ur saying and thanx but this is where i got most of my info on from old post.And im on ch more and they really didnt have much for me thats why i came here to research and seen where some guy made 96whp on a dp with just a a6cam change just figured id ask and see what some folks thank i should be at cuz the dyno will be nxt spring/summer b4 i get to dyno it.

Circa 1997...kid with a Z6, raised comp (pump gas), custom cam, custom header....140whp...clean white EG hatch...ran low 14s at full street weight with a D series NA

here is a build and this speaks for its self no way i would only make 92whp whn stock is 90whp.Im running a more agressive cam and chiped im running Just all around better parts and set up.And what your not understanding is a b7 flows better than a z6 and i have a ex tranny i thank ill be well past ur so called 92whp.

yea i disagree and had to find proof of what he was trying to state i did not have this at the time he said this but i did know it would be higher than 2extra whp 4 what im doing is all.Hell i could get 2whp from advancing timing correctly on dyno.
i dont see a problem with asking a question to see what ppl thought and some things are just plain dumb to say.Im also looking for all input on what else to do aswell.

I'd put u in at over 100whp after that and I think i'm being generous. Honestly i'd have said to hell with the exhaust work, head studs, gasket and cold air and took a stab at some Pistons and Rods for the same money and have gotten greater results. As stated tho..a Dyno is ur best bet..
I'm limited in my D Series knowledge, i've only built a D16y8 and that has a higher base then what ur working with, but if u wanna see more at the wheel u should explore more effective, cheaper paths..like decreasing rotational mass on the motor.

Honestly man even if you make over 120whp your still gonna get **** on by stock b-swaps so why waste your time?
A buddy of mine made 129whp on a p29 build in an EG hatch and he still only ran a 14.9

Not saying you ride the short bus everyday just that if a guy with a less build can do 118whp thn i should be ovr that and opinions are like ******** everybody's got one thought id atleast get some reasonable ones though,And good reply's for me doing somthing many want/havent done.
