Default b18c... how to tell if it's a type r ....

Hey all.....

My vtec snaps really really good................

my engine code is b18c so jdm...... and it has the s80 with LSD stamp on it and no dual butterfly step up on the intake manifold.

but how do I know if it's a type r motor for real and not a jdm gsr with a clone skunk 2 manifold on it or something like that?

like what is a definitive way to distinguish it a type r. if I have to open it up I will.
