Default Suspension bump stop question!

Is it necessary to cut the front stock bump stops when using lowering springs? Will it be a big problem or issue if I dont?

It is HIGHLY recommended you reuse the bump stops or get new ones, as the results of not having them when they are needed are less than ideal...

It depends a lot on your drop. If you are dropped more than an inch (that may be being a bit conservative) then I'd definitely cut them a bit. No need to take chances.

You don't HAVE to cut them, but if you don't, you lose suspension travel. If you are slammed, you need to cut them so you are not riding on them. Just don't cut them so much that the frame hits the ground when you bottom out.

idk what kind of kit ur using but if its a cheap one lets say off of ebay then those dont work, the spring size and spring rate are too low and is too small, and i wouldnt recommend using lowering springs with stock shocks, and in my opinion, riding the car anywhere near the bump stop is a big no-no for me. cuz ur losing most the shock travel that dampens the bump. If u hit a hard one, the bump stop will only do so much untill something else gives.

Thanks for all your repsonse! Im riding on tokico blues and tein s tech springs by the way. I will cut the bump stops when I have the time. Would cutting them to spec also make the ride less bounceing?

No, that should not affect the bouncing you are experiencing.

That boucing is most likely due to using tokico blues (which are basically stock replacements) with springs that lower your ride height a pretty good amount. The shocks just aren't meant for that kind of drop, and so don't perform like they should.
