My sisters accord front break pads need replacment. I called my local pepboys auto parts for a price on some breakpads and they currrently have a good deal on semi-metallic hawk brake pads for 26 $ a pair since tghey are being discontinued. my question is are these low on break dust, are they any good?? I know this brand makes good seramic brake pads since i have purchased a few sets on my civic, but a pair of brake pads from a reputable brand for 26 bucks doesnt sound bad. Should i go for it?? The car is obviously daily driven and i on stock rotors. My other Q was is it really recommended to get the rotors re-surfaced?? The brakes are barely starting to sqeak here and there.

 

i didnt know hawk made semi-metallic pads, but i would highly recommend that you resurface or replace the rotors
