Gauge Cluster Problems on 02 Accord
hi, my moms accord is being all tarded. When the car is driving, the maintenence required light will come on, then a split second after that all gauge needles will drop down, and quit working. This only lasts for like maybe a second, then they come back on. Now, when it happens, you don't need to be going over a bump or anything like that. And you could drive an hour and it won't happen once, or a quick 5 minute trip it could happen like 20 times. This has been happening for awhile, but now the maintenence required light stays on all the time. I took it to my local Advanced Auto Par*s store and had them run a CEL scan on it. They came up with nothing, so for ***** and giggles, i took it 3 buildings down to the Au*o Zone and had them scan, nothing for them either. There was a new transmission replaced under warranty, but i'm not sure how many miles ago, may have been like a year ago, soo i'm thinking it could be something on the tranny, but idk accords that well. ANY help appreciated. Thanks.
Had a similar problem on a CRX a long time ago. Did a motor swap, and this started after. It was the starter power wire being loose. If you think it's something with the tranny, get in there and wiggle wires around to see if any are loose.
