So i bottomed out and my J1 case started leaking.....i purchased a used S1 trans and installed it with new clutch and resurfaced flywheel.

I notice when i am in 4th gear my car sounds like its supercharged! Makes a whinning noise that gets worse as i increase speed. I didn't have any noise with my old J1 trans so i am wondering if i can blow the tranny from driving in 4th with the noise?

It does not happen in any other gears, but is this something that gets worse over time and affects every gear or is it isolated to only that gear that it whines in?
