just got a 95 delsol and was wondering what normal things go wrong with them. like whats normal rust area's? what to watch out for? the car has no rust on fenders but a lil bit on the rocker panel very small. oh and where to get cheap stock fenders? it came with some rice fenders the z3 haha and local junkyards don't have any.

 

im not a del sol person but i know a few people who have had them in the past. the main problem to worry about is the roof leaking. the weather stripping wears out and leaks. the typical rust spots on hondas, quarter panles under the side skirts. my 95 EJ2 has 2 rust spots on the passanger side door skin, WTF? good luck with your del sol.

You have to watch for the seals leaking, particularly the top rear corners of the side windows. If the metal connecting rod between the tumbler and the latch for the trunk lid comes off, you can't get into the trunk.

 

oh and my ej rusted same spot bc the window rubber was bad and water sat inside the door.

i keep towels in all my sols

 

check the seals, they are a problem in all sol's mainly the 93's, its a 90's honda so be weary of rust.

They are fun cars, like a big go kart!

If your, putting in a b series motor, it is best to swap to b series mounts

 

its the vtec model dnt need a swap.

 

94-95 Civic EX/SI driver side mount. (92-93 were different)
94-01 Integra driver side mount (any trim level)
94-97 Del Sol VTEC driver side mount (obviously)

99-00 Civic Si will not work, completely different.

 

oh yea, i put the 96 civic mount on the sol and fits i havnt been on h-t for a while lol
