Default question to anyone who has re built a ys1

when you go to put the trans case back to one peice does it need a little bit of force or not?
I beleive the main bearing at the top of the tower isnt going in with ease

and tips?

Wiggle it, make sure your snap ring is expanded...and dont force it too badly as you'll crack the case (like I did). Usually beat on it a bit with a rubber hammer it and helps alot too.

How large os the gap? Make sure part 11 is indexed properly.

I recall much wiggling. IIRC, the shift rods were an issue.

It does not need any force at all, other than the force of gravity. Turn it upside down.

This is assuming that you have used lock ring pliers to free the lock ring so that it can slide into the bearing groove, of course.

Go easy on the sealant re-application, it doesn't (and shouldn't) take much.
