Epoxy Primer/Sealer?
Hey guys, I'm starting to collect stuff for my first paint job on my EF and after much research I came up with a question. I want to use epoxy primer and the stuff that I'm looking at can also be used as a sealer. I'm woundering if you can just lay the sealer down over the old scuffed paint or does there need to be a couple coats of primer underneith it first?
Here's the stuff, it's at the top of the list.

you don't have to spray primer on the whole car if you're repainting it. All you need to do is scuff the clear coat, cause the base coat will act as your primer. If you did some body work, then you should spray a few coats of primer over that.
Thanks for the info guys, I am going down to bare metal the the back quarters because I need to weld in fresh metal to fix the cancer, thats why I wanted to go epoxy, I have heard lots of good things. My plan was to buy a gallon of that, use it as primer on the bare metal, then mix it up and seal the entire car, wetsand if needed then lay down the colour.
