Default Time for Timing belt change?

I have a 1998 Prelude 5spd with 68k miles. I took it into a Honda dealer, and they said I have an oil leak. While I was at it, I had them inspect my car, and the tech reccomended me to change the timing belt, water pump, seals, utility belt, spark plugs. I actually work part time at Honda, and I was quoted $580 with parts and labor.

Is it worth changing the timing belt at this time? Should I just get the oil leak fixed?

Thanks

at 68k you really don't need to change your T-belt. You still have a good 15-20k miles left before really thinking of changing it. Damn, you have some low mileage on your car for it being a 98.

first props on a prelude with 68 thousand miles the routine matinence for the timing belt is every 100,000 miles its just good insurence to change it before then as forthe oil leak where is it leaking from as for all listed above for parts and labor thats cheap as hell i got quoted for just my timing belt and water pump and tensioner for 900. take your valve cover off and inspect the belt and see if its worn on the sides or cracked underneath they could be just trying to get some money out of you

May as well get it done.....
People are always so MILEAGE driven with Timing Belts.......Time factors in as well.
Sure you may be shorting yourself 10-20k miles, but its piece of mind. Take a look around to see what happens when a TB lets loose. You can Double or Triple the cost of JUST the TB then.

Thanks guys. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago, it was a steal. The care is completely stock, and I plan on leaving it that way, except for oem lip kit, and jdm fogs. I just took it in to get an oil change, and found out the oil was leaking. The oil is leaking somewhere ontop of the engine. I'll try to post a picture from where the oil is leaking. As for the timing belt, I'm thinking since it is a 12 year old car, the belt could possibly need replacing. I will check the belt condition myself as well. Yes I work at honda, but not in service.
