well, I started out with my D series abotu 4 yrs ago.
I was on a student budget and couldnt do much to my ride.
But I slowly started building up the D series D16a6 and have built many in the past few yrs for other people.

All I had was some custom headwork, custom cam, cam gear, stock bottom end, stock clutch, fuel regulator, IHE and some slicks.
My HF with the D16a6 was hitting 13.6@99mph.

There are other stuff you can do. We also do 96-00 EX manifold upgrade, port matched to the head with port matched GSR throttle body.

Our head packages start out at $850 -1500. From a basic port/polish and valve job to a head package with custom cam, valvetrain, etc.

The D series is not for everyone. IT is for the true enthusiast who really is willing to learn more about this motor and figure out its potential on your own. Yes, the B series is easier to work with and get power out of. But the D series can be the same if you put your time and research into it.

As far as budget, we put together 13 second packages for the 4th gencivic/crx's for just under $2000.00

Good luck in your build up.

Wil

since u going all motor.... u can do a valve angle job, P&P, upgrade fuel system, custom cam, cam gear, headers 4-2-1, cat back, upgrade valve and valve train...... and with some serious tunning u can get some ncie results off a D series....like the previous guy said, of course u can get more power of a B series, but D seires can be quick also with the right tunning....

i live in Dayton and i got a Z6 on my 90 STD HB.. if u wanna learn, ask , or see my car or any info hit me up. AIM chacofg

i would say ditch the y7 head and go with a a6 or z6 , for my all motor a6 im using 86-87 integra pistons and 90 integra rod B18A1, had to have them machined down to fit but they should hold to 300hp, and ive put in ARP head and rod bolts, i also done the P & P on the head myself, also have a Gude cam and ECU, and this will all come together in about another month or so, waiting on the rods to get back from being machined.
