Default GSR build questions

wats up everyone. I have a stock gsr with all bolt ons and now i wana build the motor. I already bought supertech flat valves, crower valve springs n retainers, skunk 2 pro 2 cams and eagle h beam rods. Now i need to buy pistons but im not sure with wat brand to go with and how high of compression should i buy them so i can run 93 octane gas. I intend on driving the car daily.....

as long as you get a good tune i think you would be happy with 12.5:1!

You should have decided what compression ratio you wanted before you bought the cams. I believe those cams work best with 12:1 or more. I also suggest using the S2 Pro Series valve train.

I'm running Supertech forged 12:5:1 pistons in my GSR on 93, and those cams dont really wake up without high comp.

You need a build plan before you start a build like this. Can you imagine trying to build a house and just grabbing things as you go and asking, how many windows will I need and what type? what size? How many doors? Foundation or slab? I already picked up a roof, how can I make that work? ....see what I mean?

You need a goal in mind, a budget and then you need to figure out if your goals are possible with the budget you have. If not, you have to rethink your final goal to fit your available budget.

The dyno threads exist on this site so people like yourself can see what it takes to reach certain power goals with certain engines and build combinations. You need to go there and look through them and use them to help you with your part selections so you'll get an idea on what the required parts will cost you.
