tuning question?
I have an 00 si with a modified b16.
type r cams, header, intake manifold, throttle body
intake
port polished head
straight pipe
greddy
stage one racing clutch with an 8lb flywheel
jdm p30
b&M fuel pressure regulater
im going to get an hondata s300j tune. i plan to get more engine parts later. will i have to retune it? thanks

Yes, you will need a retune. Adding parts will change the way the engine behaves, it will change how much fuel and ignition timing it will need to run it's best. With some modifications, you can get away without a retune, but it will always run better with a new one.
IF you have a good tuner he can sometimes adjust your tune based off what you have done ( not all the time) and just email it to you with the s300 and upload it yourself. I replaced my cam and had my tuner send me a new tune. Works great!

It doesn't matter how good a tuner is, if they are sending you a map without retuning your car, then it's just a basemap and nothing more. It's basically just the tuner guessing about what will work (an educated guess but a guess nonetheless). Even if it's a map that was made with someone else car, that had the same exact setup, it's still not going to be nearly as good as a full retune.
