hi there i was wondering if i could put at least 200 hp going all motor into my 08 civic lx so i need to know what kind of parts i need to be able to do that and another question is will a hondata ecu work for my civic...

 

ur not gonna get to 200whp with out going nitrous or on boost..

 

why's your user name dohc vtec when you drive a sohc? just curious. as already mentioned, 200 whp will be impossible without forced induction. i don't think hondata has anything for your car.

 

yea. if you wanted power why did you buy a lx? Also the money your going to put into your car is what it would ahve cost you to get a civic si with the type of motor that is stated in your user name.

 

 

AJP is just about done with the R18 turbo kit....I'd check it out..

They make nice turbo kits.....If I was gonna do it over again, I would do it exactly the same with and with the deal with the same people.

well thats because that was the only thing i could afford at the time....and plus the si only comes with 197hp and not 207hp

as stated, you wont get 200hp with an r18 unless you go turbo/nitrous.

if you can afford it now, you might want to look into selling your current ride and picking up an Si. it is better than turboing the r18 and messing with IT's reliability..

 

08WhiteCivic has a 200hp+ r18 and shes running an AJP Turbo. She is the prototype but that is the kind of upgrade you are going to need.

Especially since your header is cast into the head it will be hard for you to do basic bolt-on upgrades and get any real power...

A lot of people are suggesting buy a used Si to save some cash if you want more power, you'll break 200whp in an Si with some basic bolt on upgrades

 

how much can you put into your civic... well that depends on if it's a coupe or sedan, but i figure 4 people, couple of fish hooks, a blender, crock pot, acoustic guitar, sleeping bag, folding chair, and a small pop tent?

 

Save the money that you would spend on your R18 and put it in your b18 project.
