Single stage paint jobs. Post your pics!
So the girlfriend back into my eg hatch. Got insurance money and I'm painting my car. Looking into doing a single stage but i'd like to see a few first. Leaning towards red. Post whatever single stage paint job u have!
Single stage paint jobs are different than basecoat clearcoat. Idk if i want single stage or not. So I want to see some. If you would've read the post you would know that.
it will turn out well, as long as the car is well prepped and sanded really smooth-
as long as you have experience with using a spray gun, you can always cut and buff out the orange peel after it cures if it really bothers you

post your "low cost alternative to quality" threads are poppin up a lot. there is a "post your car on stock wheels thread" there is a sportmaxx thread.
if i were a mod i would delete them. it looks about as tacky as curse words in a topic title. someone who has never been on this site would click this subforum and say "this must be the trailerpark"
i understand if youre in college, maybe youre in highschool, work part time, or maybe youre scamming cali unemployment to build you car, but still...you dont have to SCREAM im a cheap ***. or in this case, the insurance company is giving you enough to repair a bumper and youre trying to spread those few buccks over your entire car.
now, to HELP you, i will say your money is better spent on:
1. an air compressor
2. an HVLP gun
3. some visqueen
4. a spare hood to practice
5. about 20-30 hours of studying
ever think of that? try it. you might like it. this is EXACTLY what i did back when i was broke and 21. now i have the money to fling at some place like MOB works, and i would STILL do it myself. (in january, i cant wait, **** will look like i washed it in baby oil)

yes maybe we will. we will call it "the EF preservation society". try and keep people from dressing them up like baby poop and putting flat billed hats in side of them....among other things.

This thread is pure comedy. I like your paint job billboard even if it does kinda look like baby ****. Its good to see someone thinking outside the box, and not just going with the flow like most people. I just painted my 91 Hatch, It was a base/clear job, from light blue to Grand Prix White from S2000. I used ppg shopline base and a cheap no name "high gloss" clear. all and all cost me only $130
This car was ROUGH.....BAD RUST and DENTS everywhere. We were moving from my shop and crash coursed repaired the car (all metal) and painted it. As you can see here and there, there were little dings that were left for flavor...lol. Its about 1000x better than it was.
