Need help with Si tranny for DOHC ZC
A guy I'm debating on buying one from says it needs the synchros on it. My current tranny (Stock manual one from 90 CRX DX) isn't working so I was wondering if I could take out the syncros from the DX tranny and put it in the SI tranny? Also would assuming this worked, would I have to get new axles for my CRX or would the stock CRX ones work. Thanks a lot for any answers.
parts are the same. but what he thinks is bad synchros is probably a broken shift fork.
and really, its a lot of work to get into the tranny and rebuild. not saying its impossible or anything, but its not easy the first time.

tell me about it tyson, i'm trying to take apart my tranny now, i have a helms manual and everything, i do what it says and stuff is still stuck. bump for o/p
yeah it was a pain to take open, but he already has his open and it just needs synchros. i have my dx tranny cracked open too at the moment and just wanted to know if mine would fit before i drove 40 miles to get his si tranny minus synchros. but seriously that slip was a pain to get off with regular needle nose pliers lol
