Hey man I'm not sure what the bushings look like but the link I'm posting has "bush" (I'm assuming short for bushing) as the description for numbers 19 and 21...part numbers 4887179 (bush, shift) and 4887181 (bush, select).

i posted a thread a while ago about my car making a grind sound on COLD startups, and i am pretty close to taking it into Honda to get it diagnosed.

with that said, i am returning my car back to stock for the time being. Luckily i have only put an Injen SRI, TWM performance short throw shifter/shifter base bushings/shifter cable bushings on it.

99.99999% chance these add-ons aren't creating this grind sound, but i don't want them to flag my car in their computer for being "modified" in case something totally takes a dump in the future

your gonna have to buy some new shifter cables. they do not have a separate part number for the bushings inside the cables. i have these installed in my Si and you pretty much destroy the rubber bushings to put the twm bushings in the cables.

maybe I will just leave them.

But according to that site linked above, I can buy them without having to get the cables.. Hmm

Yes...because you can. The part numbers I gave you are for the bushings, without the cables.

Don't waste your time switching back to stock. They can't void your entire warranty just because you switched out shifter bushings. If it's an internal engine problem that was in no way caused by the shifter bushings....then they still have to honor the warranty to get that problem fixed since it's un-related to the modification.

I have that same noise as I told you before....but I DON'T have the shifter bushings on yet.....so you can bump that 99.99999% up just a notch that it's NOT your bushings making that noise.

well i'm more worried about them marking my car as having modified shifting components which could possibly allow them to void the transmission warranty.

my tranny is like everyone elses: notchy and not very smooth until it's warmed up 100%

also, i don't necessarily BEAT my car, but i do drive it hard some times. i wouldn't want to take it in for an engine problem, have them notice my bushings/short throw shifter and then have them look deeper to see if it's related to abuse.

most likely they look into abuse anyways, but i want to avoid as much **** as possible.

kinda pisses me off that they advertise a feature on both sides of the car that can only be accessed at 5800+ RPMS (i-vtec) yet you get logged for it everytime you hit red line. granted, you can stop at 8K or w/e the redline is but who does that? lol. kinda like that launch control voiding your transmission warranty on the nissan gt-r

yea, i'm not actually clear on if they log EVERY occurrence but they ARE able to tell your rpms/gear/throttle position at the moment your engine takes a crap and have used that info to deny claims.

i don't see why it matters if it was at 4grand or 15 grand.... if it's under the warranties mileage requirement it should still be fixed :/

the ecu doesn't log every time you hit vtec; why would it? it's not like its bad for the motor or anything. the ecu will log an overrev but not anything below the redline.
