Default 95 Civic DX problem

Okay So...Me and my girlfriend left this morning. We where driving down the highway in her car. First, the engine started to smoke and we thought it was over heating. Unfortunately it was, so we had her mother bring us Anti-Freeze and we put some in. Then it cooled down and we drove away. About 10 minutes later we realize it starts smoking again. So I got out and checked it. One of the pipes near the intake manifold and the valve cover was busted and was leaking water all down on the ground pretty bad. So I went in and cut it because the cut was right at the end of it. After doing this I put it back on and replaced the clamp that holds it in-place. We thought that would fix the problem it did. So we drove about 25-30 miles back home. It drove wonderfully all the way back once we arrived home it began smoking again. Its leaking again from the same spot. What I need to know is what is causing it to rip like that and do I need to get a new one or just cut it? Is there something special I can use to keep it closed. Any help is appreciated thanks HT.

it is most likely dry rotted so it would be best to replace it. while you have it off make sure that there isnt any burrs or anything that could be cutting it

I had the same hose go at that end. And,I drive a 95 DX coupe .It is a special shaped hose,so make sure you go to a parts store to get the right one.
I noticed right after mine leaked,it wet my VSS,and I have had that act up,giving fluctuating readings as i drive.
While you are fixing that, replace as many of the others you see there, they are all the same age and will take turns failing.
