tolerance on ball joints on ef sedan?

Hey im just wondering if there is a set amount of play in a ball joint on my 89 ef sedan before it has to be replaced? on upper and/or lower

I can't find anything in my service manual that says specifically how much play, but if it's very easy to move with one finger, you should replace it. They are supposed to be very stiff.

could not find anything either, anywhere. when in doubt, replace it...
