i know its just a filter on a pipe, but its designed well and constructed well... plus the sound is soooo aggressive...

 

I just noticed something in my engine bay.. I don't have that black shield next to the header
What is the purpose of that?

 

its a heat shield and it protects the battery from getting melted... u prolly should buy one... there mad cheap...

Yeah i will..i also just found out that who ever had this car before me, had the head taken off for some reason..im assuming a head gasket but a head gasket before 64k? Idk what was done to this car before, hence the battery heat shield missing..and to top it all off the car didnt pass inspection due to the front tires! Yeah! LOL!

Im leaning toward a "cold box" type of system..i had one on my gsr and it was great.. maybe I can do a snorkle with a gutted airbox and a k&n filter..although i really do like the k&n set up.

I have a K&N short ram not sure if changing it out for something else would do anything for the car but the intake is loud as hell at WOT.

 

im currently using the yowaii ss power chamber intake in carbon fiber. my car sounds n feels alot better. has an aggressive tone n looks sick in the bay. cant go wrong with that.

Isn't a turbo considered an "exhaust" if anything...
