stock injectors should be good for aboput 230whp. Get it tuned. And prolly an RMF header instead of a DC sport.

Are you just building a head? What bottom end is it going on?
Pro2 cams with what compression???
60mm TB???
DC header???

EuroR IM + RDX Injectors instead
RACE header, not some DC garbage.(HyTech/SSR/SMSP) Can't suggest RMF because of all the past issues with delivery.

Heres my take;
Buy a nice RACE header for ~$1k
Buy Pro1s with the valvetrain(Pro2s with 10:1cr=NONO=Poor midrange)
Use a EuroR IM with a larger throttle body(s2k?)
RDX injectors......

As far as tuning, you're screwed......you will have to find someone or you may as well NOT even build this.

+1

Ditch the cams (and valvetrain) if you can't swing it all, but get a good header and properly tune. Follow the rest of what he wrote as well.

Use (reuse) OEM valves (or Ferrea if you're adamant about aftermarket).

Rocket has always praise GE cam gears in the past. I'd use them over S2.

S2 composite fuel rail isn't available for the H22.

When it comes to money, I'd rather have my S2S1s+stock VT and a Vibrant header than a RACE header and stock cams.

Used vibrant + cam + valvetrain is a lot more than a used SMSP/Hytech/RMF/DTR. And I wouldn't get a 'race' header for what he's doing. Is there even price difference between Pro 1 and 2. You're effectively telling him to add a header to his budget, not balancing it. If he can afford all of it, great.

Used cam+used Vibrant+stock VT is NOT a lot more than a used SMSP(Race) header if any. I just refer to the REAL H22 headers as RACE headers.
What do used SMSP type headers even go for? Can you even find used ones?
There is NOT a price difference between the P1 and P2, but why would someone use a P2 on a 10:1cr setup? It would more than likely beat up his midrange and not benefit much on the top end.

Talk to any good engine builder (eg. DonF) and they'll tell you why not to use used cams, or rockers for that matter. Using new rockers becomes very expensive, but new cams isn't nearly as big a hit.

Not suggesting he used Pro2 cams, but the way you wrote your post, you made it seem like Pro1 would somehow be cheaper.

oh my bad, tech only forum forgot about that.

a header will be the best as far as your power goals for now because without tuning, you will not be able to unlock the power of cams, valves, valvesprings, and retainers. I forgot to mention, with e-mail, forums, and all that junk to transfer data, tuning solutions have also advanced in that way. They now have COMPETENT tuners who can tune your car via the internet. Simply send them a complete list of your modifications, they'll send you a basemap, you datalog a few WOT pulls and send it back, then they edit it for you and send you a revised map. After a few revisions, your tune is effectively running a good "street" tune. Surely it won't net the peak hp you could on a dyno, but it will be enough to see gains. my 2 cents on the matter

get some stage one cams, a skunk 2 manifold, and a good header with a exhaust system you'll make about 200hp...good luck

If you want to reach 250 crank hp, it's not too difficult, if yo want to put down 250whp get nitrous. You have a long way to go if you want 250whp with these type of questions or deep pockets

displacement
compression

throw the pro2's in and get the engine tuned. Call Skunk2 and ask what the recommended cam gear settings are for a stock bottom h22. That or have the cams degreed (recommended) to the proper lobe center line.

I have a feeling the pro2 will work out just fine even with stock compression. You just wont get everything out of them, however, a pro1 is a much more suitable cam for a stock bottom end.

hmm i would go with even 1 pro 1. the thing is i just wanna put mostly all the parts i need to in b4 go get it tuned becuz the closest dyno tune is in denver.
if i did the pro 1 cams and 13:1 compression pistons thats put me at about 210 220 hp correct?

You're getting too hung up on #'s.
Dynos vary by 1-20%.

In short, a stock bottom end won't get you anywhere near 250whp.....
I feel I have ALMOST maxed out the JDM bottom end I am running......short of a nicer header and ITBs.

Spend some serious time researching.
You're going to need to start with using 89mm iron sleeves.....

What are you going to be using this car for?
