Something for all you high reving guys to think about
I'm actually about to order one for my b20vtec..
If you rev high and have huge cams this might be something to considering.. just for insurance i'm posting this because i dunno if anyone got the word out.

Street cars: Timing belt cover is a must have on the lower end, so is the lower trans cover IMO. The cover could be modified however and still be used.

Vibrant Performance makes B and H series tensioners. They appear to be more adjustable than the Endyn unit.
The lack of P/S is a turn-off for me. I think you could make it work somehow, it would probably involve making a new P/S bracket that integrated the tensioner system.

This would make putting a motor on time hell of a lot easier for me, I think.
Well, actually Im not sure, i think it goes off time as i'm rotating everytime for the OEM tensioner to tighten up.. I haven't run any of the motors I've done timinig on though.. I've always got frustrated and had my friends come over to do it

I rev my car to 9k rpm daily, oem tensioner, oem Timing belt, and over 100k miles. I think as long as it's properly tensioned, you shouldn't have a problem.
I have a built b20vtec, reving to 9k+, daily driven as well this is a must i believe.
you already forgot that you had that as a signature 6 months ago?
"ask donf about me"
what would don think about you promoting larry widmer's parts? they arent the best of friends you know.

you can always tell who the pioneers are by all the arrows in their back. whether you like larry or not the wheels are turning in his head. and i like that.
yea larry's pretty cool. most of the people who dont like him just are not getting the business he does. it affords those individuals plenty of time to badmouth him ya know? i think they are all over on hondaswap or some troll forum like that now.

I know.. that.. But why does it matter to you? you realize i have endyn rollerwave pistons in my motor.., that Donf put in there, right? Per donf's advice..
And ya, that was in my sig for awhile because i've been gone for so long.. people might have forgot who slung the bat around here...thats all, its good stuff i tell you..
And ya, donf is a sweet *** dude - we do chat it up alot.
hondaswap and b20vtec and all those other little shizty forums ..people on there, have no idea whats going on, and majority of them haven't pasted 3rd grade english..
i love larry and his products (i have a few of them, gettin more) but i like to run a timing belt cover also. the belts made by Greddy, Toda and Gates already address this issue for B, D and H engines.
five years ago i made my own homemade secondary tensioner by using some things i had laying around the garage. i came up with the idea after seeing my belt shaking while watching my engine warm up. i wasnt sure whether the belt having slack on one side was normal or not. but somebody did tell me this was normal before the engine reached operating temperature. although the guy telling me this at the time did not seem to be familiar with h-series engines nor their auto tensioners. so i disregarded his opinion. well after driving my car to work and back home i would noticed there was more tension on the intake side of the engine versus the exhaust. so i threw on my ghetto contraption . its weird but funny how more than one company has come out with this secondary tensioner (in what seems like years later) after i had thought of this modification on my own. i guess it was only a matter of time. wish i would have invested in this idea. im not sure whether or not these aftermarket tensioners were available in 2004 but i thought i'd share my story.

on a side note, i was wondering if anybody has had their oil pump serviced by Endyn? he offers an oil pump modification for $150. does anyone think its worth the trouble? or has actually tested his mod or ran the clearances or checked the oil flow after the work was done to the pumps?
BigBlock22:::
that is one of the parts i bought from Larry. unfortunately, i havent been able to use it because i cant ship it to Japan and had to put it in storage. i will just get a Type R pump when i get there.
i bought it because one day when i was in the Metro Plex (for some reason or another) i stopped by the shop and we got on the subject of hybrids after he showed me some dyno graphs and convinced me that his modified oil pump would be perfect for the hybrid i wanted to build. so i bought one.
