been searching and looking around but haven't found much.. i thought, i had the bearing chart all figured out but i needa see what you guys say.... jus need to get the bearings square away and then i'll be set and ready to assembly my gsr.. first build so crossN my fingers that everything goes right.!

i've been working on cars for years now(auto tech) but jus never any engine work, as far as the lower block goes.. head gasket, heads and stuff but jus never and lower end..

01 gsr with 98,xxx miles..still pretty clean and not much wear so im gettN oem honda bearings. got the motor for cheap but previous owner clam that he had a spun bearing, so i jus thought i'd do a rebuilt.

block reads-"DDDDD"

connecting rods reads-"3333"(three on all connecting rods)

crankshaft readings-
"pulley crank--------->flywheel"
B 3 C 3
3 X
C 3 C 3


any help is greatly appreciated..

 

Ok. SO for rods you need

1 - Brown
2 - Green
3 - Green
4 - Green

then for mains you need

1 - Black
2 - Black
3 - Black
4 - Black
5 - Black

Anything else? I live right by Marysville and have been working on these cars since 96 if you need anything..

 

explain this more please if you can(bearing selections), im interested in doing the same thing...my ls had a blown HG and i just wanna go ahead and rebuild..

Xscort, its a lot of reading and understanding.. but once you get it all down, its gonna be a breeze.. but a newbie like myself with engine building, im not taking a chance or “fawk it” tYpe of work. Ehehe… good choice of jus doing a rebuild.. gOod luck bRo..
