Default Element potential-engine bay

hypothetical: the Element's engine bay comes with a K24. the Accord's engine bay fits a K24 or a J32/35... although the Element is said to be based on the Civic chassis, is there room between the firewall and radiator for a J-series? i'm sure there's plenty of hood clearance...

I know... "why would you want to give an Element a fighting chance merging with traffic on the interstate?," "just turbo it," "too much fabrication, way too expensive."

let's just say scoffers and nay-sayers don't impress me. anyone with facts and measurements?

thanks for the encouragement. the way people react to the idea of modifying the Element beyond intakes and wheels... i probably will be the first..!

for anyone reading and wondering: i don't want to make a track car... i just feel that the V6 should have been an option from the factory. the Element is utilitarian and practical, but why not combine that with the ability to scoot when the situation requires?

are there any turbo equipped Element owners out there with comments on the experience?

i'm sure it could be made to fit. Lets make it happen. It's not that hard to find cheap j-series motors. Those guys over on j32a.com have the v6 stuff pretty well figured out, and are more adventurous and knowledgable than your average Element owner. You should consult them.
