Default Does Oil filter size affects oil pressure?

My engine s a B16a ive been using the original Pr3 oil filter for my car. As far as i know Honda's have only two oil filters which are universal for their engine. One is the big filter-pr3 and the other is the smaller version.
Yesterday when i visited my friend, i saw he had a smaller version of the oil filter, he told me that the smaller filter is the improve version from the bigger pr3 oil filter, and also using the smaller filter will increase oil pressure.
Is there some truth to this? I realise K series type R engine uses the smaller oil filter too.

so which oil filter shud i use? the big one or the small one.
How is it that both can fit the b16a, is it due to the hole thread size?
