96 accord lx fitv replacement, coolant problems

I'm having the "bouncing Idle" problem. I replaced the iacv, map sensor, checked my hoses, throttle body cleaner etc etc. Still happening. I am about to tackle the fitv...but i have a question. The holes in the throttle body...there should be no suction for the fitv one right? I know this has been on here and there many times.... but everyone says something different.
One more thing....my coolant is being pushed out the overflow occasionally, is this and the idle a sign of the headgasket, the car doesn't smoke...and when i replacement the thermostat the coolant had no oil in it...and the oil seems fine.....whats the best way to check for a blown headgasket?
Also, does anyone know where i can get an FITV and how much it would be...i'm thinkin because the car is old and has a lot of k's on it if i am going to take it off i might as well replace it, but i can't find one. thanks!

once the car warms up, there should be no suction from the FITV. If the car comes to operating temperature and still has suction in that hole, then you should adjust it. But why replace it if it's not broken? it only takes about 5 minutes to get it off, and then all you have to do is remove the cover and screw down the plastic insert. Another 5 minutes to put it all back together. If it still doesn't work, then you've only wasted 10 minutes, and you can then start looking in to replacing it.
Some coolant being pushed into the overflow tank is normal; when does it happen on your car? The overflow system is designed to keep the cooling system completely full of coolant. As the coolant and whatever air in the system heats up, they expand (particularlly the air). The radiator cap allows the pressure to build to about 15 psig to help increase the boiling point of the water/anti-freeze. If/when the pressure exceeds this, the cap allows any air that has accumulated at the top of the radiator and water/anti-freeze to escape to the overflow tank. When the engine is shutoff, the temperature and pressure may rise higher temporarily because the heat in the engine is soaking into the coolant in the block/head without the benefit of circulation, so additional air and coolant may be forced into the overflow tank. As the engine cools off, the coolant (and probably still a little air in small pockets in the cooling system) contracts creating a lower pressure in the cooling system than in the overflow tank causing the coolant in the tank to be drawn back into the radiator. If the overflow tank level stays within the "cold" and "hot" levels, there isn't a problem. If there is a continuous flow into the tank and/or it overflows, or if the tank needs to be refilled often, a head gasket leak is a possibility. If you need to refill it often, you've got a leak somewhere.
hey guys...fixed the idle problem! The fitv was bad..luckily junk yard has my car that i've been taking parts off...and the guys are hicks so i only paid $10..actually i replaced the throttle body, fitv, iacv, and map sensor for about $60 bucks lol.
Anyway...no over heating problems yet..however, the car never actually gets up to normal operating temp unless i'm stopped or in park...then it starts to heat up...any ideas?

How are you determining that it is only getting to operating temperature when stopped or in park? Temperature gage? Or the fact that you hear the fan come on when stopped? Have you actually measured the temperature?
only the temp gauge in the car....the main thing is the car is not overheating...i would assume that would indicate head gasket. When drving around, the temp gauge actually drops to cold...maybe it has something to do with the thermostat. I'm okay with it for now...car is running good...i just want to make sure im not doing damage to the engine.
